Position Overview:
The Sustainable Agriculture Grant Writer plays a critical role in securing funding for sustainable agriculture projects. This professional will be responsible for researching and identifying potential grant opportunities, developing grant proposals, and ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and reporting requirements. The Grant Writer will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and funding organizations to articulate the organization's mission, goals, and project objectives effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and identify potential grant opportunities in the field of sustainable agriculture.
2. Develop grant proposals that align with the organization's strategic objectives and funding guidelines.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and data to support grant proposals.
4. Write and edit compelling, accurate, and persuasive grant narratives, including project descriptions, goals, objectives, methodologies, and budgets.
5. Ensure compliance with grant requirements, guidelines, and reporting deadlines.
6. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of sustainable agriculture programs, initiatives, and funding trends.
7. Build and maintain relationships with funding agencies, partners, and stakeholders to enhance grant funding opportunities.
8. Monitor and track progress of grant proposals, reporting on outcomes and impact as required.
9. Stay updated on relevant environmental policies, regulations, and best practices in sustainable agriculture.
10. Collaborate with the finance team to track budget allocations and expenditures related to grant funding.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in the field of sustainable agriculture.
3. In-depth knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices, environmental conservation, and related funding opportunities.
4. Strong research skills to identify appropriate funding sources and grant opportunities.
